ベルギーのサン＝リュック研究所で学んだ後、1953年ラ・カンブル国立美術学校入学。1955年パリに移住。フランスでは注目されませんでしたが、ニューヨークの雑誌社に投稿したドローイング作品が注目採用され、1967年には「タイム」「フォーチュン」誌などの表紙に掲載されました。1969年ニューヨークで初個展。カフカ「変身」の挿絵等、その後世界各国で挿絵、壁画制作、ポスターデザイン、彫刻、版画、セラミック作品など各領域にわたる活躍をしました。Apple社のジョブス氏はフォロンのファンで初代Macのキャラクターを制作しました。晩年、フォロン財団ができ芸術教育活動や社会福祉にも貢献しました。

After studying at the Institut Saint-Luc in Belgium, he entered La Cambre National School of Fine Arts in 1953 and moved to Paris in 1955.First solo exhibition in New York in 1969.He has worked worldwide as an illustrator, muralist, poster designer, sculptor, printmaker, ceramic artist, etc. Mr. Jobs of Apple Inc. was a fan of Folon and created the character for the first Mac.In his later years, the Fondation Folon was created and contributed to art education activities and social welfare.
